The Malaysian eVISA

The Malaysian eVISA was established by the Immigration Department of Malaysia in January 2016. The eVISA for Malaysia authorizes the citizens of eligible countries with passports valid for at least six (6) months to apply for an eVISA online. Once issued, the Malaysian eVISA is valid for stays of up to thirty (30) days.

The Malaysian eVISA is an electronically issued Single Entry Visa (SEV) which authorizes stays of up to thirty (30) consecutive days. An approved eVISA is valid to enter Malaysia for three (3) months following the date of issue. The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least six (6) months at the moment of application.
